Located only 120 yards from the promenade and seafront, this cosy and comfortable first floor apartment is ideal for couples or a small family looking for a great value for money holiday at any time of the year. This terraced property has its own private entrance on a quiet residential street in the west end of this very friendly small seaside town. The promenade is around a mile in length and a gentle stroll will take you along to the end to the Maritime Centre.
The pretty church sits at one end and the centre area has a bandstand and an ice cream parlour.
Newbiggin-by-the-Sea has an Indian and Italian restaurant and a small craft ale bar, as well as butchers, bakeries, pubs and cafés. Set out in the sea just on the breakwater is Sean Henry’s sculpture, ’Couple’. It is not unusual to see the sailing boats or the lifeboat practising, and the local dolphin watch team up early looking out for a glimpse of some dolphins in the bay.
The local golf course overlooks the sea at the other end of the village, and the bus stop is nearby and has services running to Newcastle and Morpeth.
Morpeth is only 8 miles away with plenty of nice shops, pubs and cafés. Alnwick Castle is around 25 miles away, which is home to the Duke of Northumberland and is famed for Harry Potter scenes. The beautiful Northumbrian Heritage Coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is easily reached following the road out of Newbiggin-by-the-Sea and heading up the coast. Beach 150 yards. Shop 120 yards, pub 500 yards and restaurant ½ mile.
