Set in the heart of the historic village of Elsdon, within the Northumberland National Park, this unique and beautifully presented cottage with a spacious beamed living room and charming beamed dining room, there are two bedrooms each with ornamental fireplace and rugs on the pine floors, it adjoins a public house and overlooks the village green: rumoured to be one of the largest in England, with its 13th-century church and 15th-century pele tower, as well as a Norman motte and bailey fortification. This is a wonderful touring area with the Borders, Northumberland coast, Kielder Water and Hadrian’s Wall all within easy reach, as well as Alnwick gardens and several other National Trust properties.
