Kitchen/dining room: With wood burner, electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge, slimline dishwasher, Juliet balcony and wooden floor.
Utility area: With worktop freezer and washing machine.
Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed and en-suite with slipper bath, toilet and tiled floor (access also from hall).
Bedroom 2: With twin beds.
Bathroom: With slipper bath, toilet and tiled floor (access also from bedroom1).
Shower room: With shower cubicle and toilet.

Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Travel cot and highchair available on request.

Small enclosed front patio with and garden furniture. Rear lawned and terraced garden. Bike store available on request. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There are 6 steps to the rear terrace (with alternative level access).

Ferncliffe Cottage is set on a quiet country lane with spectacular views from the living room and master bedroom, as well as the terrace and front patio. Semi-detached and single storey, it lies in an elevated location maximising the stunning scenery of the Coquet Valley and the Simonside Hills. The thoughtful owner has ensured a real ‘home from home’ in the contemporary style of the cottage, which has a cosy wood burner in the kitchen/dining area. The living area can be completely open, or the living room can be separated off with the custom-built, sliding door.

The rear garden is tiered and offers a relaxing area where you can catch the sun, while the front enclosed patio area takes advantage of the outstanding views. Fernciffe Cottage is on the edge of the small village of Thropton and a 700-yard downhill walk leads to the local pub. Only 2 miles further is the historic market town of Rothbury, with its pretty riverside inns and tea rooms.

The National Trust property, Cragside House, in Rothbury makes for a good day out, and its gardens are a delight. Alnwick Castle is only 14 miles away, where you can explore the enchanting gardens and the magnificent castle. Otterburn is easily reached, and you can drive on to Kielder Water and explore the National Park. After a busy day touring, Ferncliffe Cottage makes a welcome retreat to come back to. Beach 17 miles. Shops 2 miles, pub and restaurant 700 yards
