Long View Lodge has a bubbling hot tub waiting for your arrival and ready for you to relax and unwind in on your well-deserved short break or holiday. This modern two-bedroom lodge has been tastefully furnished with a large wall mounted TV with Netflix in the light and airy open plan living area. Ideal for socialising there is a great seating area on the L shaped verandah, ideal for families up to five, or couples or friends to enjoy and share some special times.
This friendly park at Bockenfield has an on-site bar, café and a children’s play area. Take an evening stroll then perhaps something to eat onsite or take a few minutes’ drive to one of the many restaurants and pubs nearby. Located close to the A1 yet you feel like you are in a country retreat.
Children will love the Northumberland Zoo, which is only half a mile away, or within walking distance for those who enjoy walking. Burgham Park Golf course is only half a mile ideal for golfers in the family.
Warkworth is a lovely village with a hillside castle, bespoke shops, and little cafés. Nearby Alnwick is home to the Duke and Duchess where you can visit the majestic castle used in some Harry Potter scenes, perhaps have a broomstick lesson (in season) or visit the Duchess’ enchanting water gardens, then meander the streets soaking up the history.
Nearby Morpeth is a very pretty, historic market town with some wonderful bars and restaurants and an Edwardian shopping arcade to explore as well as river boats down on the river Wansbeck.
Close by, Felton has an award-winning café and a friendly pub serving food and drinks. Set close to the A1 means you are able travel in all directions going somewhere different every day, have a day over at Hadrian’s Wall exploring in the RomanfForts and glorious countryside or perhaps a day trip to the Dark Sky International National Park would appeal, or maybe even some retail therapy in Newcastle where you can enjoy the quayside and culture of the streets and buildings. If you’re a nature enthusiast, Lilidorei at The Alnwick Garden is most certainly worth a trip, especially considering it houses the world’s largest play park! There are so many terrific options wherever you go around Long View Lodge you will be sure of a real warm Geordie welcome
