It is known for its rich wildlife diversity, with RSPB Leighton Moss also nearby, home to more than 100 bird species. Warton Crag, Gait Barrows, Hyning Scout Wood and Arnside Knott are among the other nature reserves and walking routes in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
