This two-storey apartment, located just a short walk from the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere, offers a modern, spacious abode for your next Lake District holiday. Both double bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, and there is also a family bathroom on the first floor, meaning three couples could easily stay here and each have their own space. A parking permit is included for you, so parking is easy. The open plan living room, kitchen and dining room is a great social space and is equipped to a very good standard, and makes a great space to gather, cook, dine and enjoy a relaxing evening after a day filled with excitement. The large floor to ceiling windows in the living room flood the space with natural daylight bringing with it a welcoming and spacious feel. There is even permit parking for one car on a first come, first severe basis.
Set back from the main road down a quiet side street, Club Cottage offers a peaceful retreat from the bustling town centre of Bowness-on-Windermere, yet within 5 minutes’ walk, you can be stood in the heart of this popular Lake District town, and a couple of minutes’ more, be stood on the pebbles on the shore of Lake Windermere, the longest lake in England at 10½ miles. The popular town of Bowness has an abundance of cafés and coffee shops, themed bars, speciality shopping, restaurants, tourist attractions and just about every type of gift shop you could imagine. This affluent area draws millions of visitors each year, and as soon as you walk down to the shore edge, looking over the water towards the Langdale fells, you’ll know you’ve made a great choice for your next holiday in the heart of the Lake District National Park.
If you fancy a cruise on the lake, the famous Windermere Lake Cruises depart from Bowness to various destinations including Lakeside, where you can visit The Aquarium of The Lakes offering a great day out for all the family. You can combine your day out with a journey on the Lakeside to Haverthwaite Steam Railway, where a shuttle bus can take you to the Lakeland Motor Museum.
Just a short walk from Club Cottage you will find The World of Beatrix Potter attraction to take you back to your childhood. If you want adrenaline filled adventure, then why not try Go Ape treetop adventure and zip wire course, which can be accessed using the traditional car ferry from Windermere to Hawkshead. If you like the rugged outdoors, this is a great place to get active, as you are surrounded by some amazing walking and cycling routes, as well some of the most picturesque scenery around including lakes, waterfalls, forests and not too far away, even sandy beaches. You are within a short drive to many other popular Lake District and Cumbrian towns such as Ambleside, Kendal, Grasmere, Ulverston and Coniston. Of course you don’t have to travel far for adventure, but with many of the 214 Wainwright Fells within easy reach, you can be as active as you wish. At Club Cottage you really have a great base from which to enjoy your next Lake District escape. Beach 19 miles. Shop 250 yards, pub 100 yards and restaurant 200 yards.
What do you need - bungalow or coastal cottage? North West England is tourists heaven. There is plenty of cottages with dogs allowed in The Lakes in Cumbria , Windermere or Keswick - some have golf courses close by.
