Set amongst open rural landscapes, this beautiful semi-detached barn conversion offers spacious, comfortable accommodation with many original features including oak beams and slit windows. Sleeping two people, there is plenty of space; the large open plan first floor living area is light and airy, with a fitted kitchen, dining area and large comfortable seating for all. The large Velux windows fill the room with natural light, the split barn style door allows the fresh country air to flow through the room.
The staircase leads to the ground floor where a large bedroom with kingsize bed and shower room are found.
Outside parking is immediately to the front of the property and access to a secure store for any bikes can be made available. The owner has provided access to a large garden area just a step or two across the courtyard. Enjoy the open views, occasional livestock in the adjacent field, and look out for the free range hens that can be seen roaming through the long grasses too.
Despite the stunning rural location, you are on the fringe of the Lake District National Park; the beautiful village of Caldbeck is just 8 miles away, whilst the historic city of Carlisle, with its castle, museum and shopping, are just are short drive.
There are a number of excellent pubs and restaurants in the area offering a wide variety of good food and real ale, and for walkers this is an ideal location for exploring the Lake District National Park, Hadrian’s Wall, the Solway Coast and the Scottish Borders. There are guided walks with the ramblers which are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, so it’s well worth asking the owner for further details. Beach 16 miles.
