When the weather is fine, you can sit in the garden being disturbed by nothing more than the birds, sheep, take a woodland walk beside the quietly meandering stream in the fields below.

Low Floweryhirst Cottage is set in delightful Cumbrian countryside with excellent walks and quiet roads for cycling from the door.

Whilst it is situated in a peaceful location, Low Floweryhirst Cottage is ideal for exploring more of the area. A trip to the 12th century Lanercost Priory is a must, which is situated within the World Heritage Site of Hadrian’s Wall. Wander round the priory and parts of Hadrian’s Wall, then enjoy a refreshing afternoon tea.

This is also the perfect location for exploring the Scottish Borders, and not only is the Lake District National Park a lovely drive from here, but also Northumberland National Park is within easy reach too.
