This spacious property is an ideal location from which to explore the West Cumbrian coast and the Lake District National Park, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. With a large, enclosed garden and stunning fell views, it’s a perfect base for a holiday to remember. Tastefully decorated and well-furnished throughout, this beautiful property sleeping up to 8 guests is perfect for a relaxing holiday. Although situated on a working farm, the property is both private and separated from the main farm, meaning you have your own private setting to enjoy your holiday with great views across the private fields to the Fells beyond. All on one level, this four-bedroom bungalow can comfortably sleep up to eight guests and offers great flexibility. The largest bedroom offers a king-size bed and ensuite shower room. There are two further spacious bedrooms, one with king size bed and one a double bed. The fourth bedroom has two single beds. The huge living room has plenty of space to socialise, beautifully furnished with plenty of easy seating. The large windows provide plenty of natural daylight and stunning views over the lawned gardens to the fells.
There is also access to the lawns and decking at the rear. There are two further bathrooms, the main bathroom has a bath while the ensuite and third bathroom have a shower cubicle.
The large kitchen is a social space with a dining table and seating for eight. The patio doors to the decking area gives beautiful fell views. The kitchen is well equipped. You also have an empty garage which has a tumble dryer and is also great for storage. If you fancy eating out or a rewarding drink after a long day, the pub is just a five minute walk. Hop in the car and you will reach the town of Maryport, home to The Lake District Coast Aquarium as well as Clip ’n’ Climb, a popular climbing adventure attraction. Kids will love Cave at the Wave which features an indoor caving activity, or if you want to boost your adrenaline, you can whizz around the local go-karting track.
If culture is your thing, you can visit Senhouse Roman Museum or in just a ten minute drive you can be in Cockermouth.
This lovely Cumbrian town is the birthplace of William Wordsworth and offers a delightful town centre with a good mix of bars, restaurants, shops and tourist attractions, and is also home to the famous Jennings’s Brewery. High Mains is just a short drive to the Lake District National Park with its stunning scenery and no end of walking and cycling routes.
On route to the Lake District town of Keswick you’ll find Bassenthwaite Lake, one of Cumbria’s most stunning lakes with the backdrop of the imposing Skiddaw, a challenge for even the most experienced fell walkers. You’re about 10 minutes drive from Cockermouth and about 25 minutes to Keswick. Beach 11 miles, pub ¼ mile and restaurant ½ mile. High mains offers a great location if you want to explore and has a couple of pubs and restaurants nearby. Situated in Winscales, it’s just off the A595, the rural location feels very relaxing. Overall, this is a fantastic house and fun for all ages, perfect for a get together in beautiful West Cumbri
