Cockermouth Town Centre, the birthplace of William Wordsworth, is just a short walk from the property. In fact, the National Trust Wordsworth House is across the road. The location of this property is perfect. Cockermouth is a thriving market town full of hidden surprises at every turn. It boasts a great selection of pubs, quaint restaurants, micro-breweries, local craft shops, independent coffee houses, delicatessens, speciality shops and of course, well known retailers and branded stores too.
If you like culture, Kirkgate Arts shows movies, arts and drama. The leisure centre is also nearby as well as local cycle hire. You’ll also find the famous Jennings Brewery nestled beneath the castle walls where the River Derwent and River Cocker meet.
