Hydrangea Cottage offers a fabulous opportunity to enjoy a traditional holiday in the South Lakes. The picture perfect property has many original features including beams, open window seats and a large fire place. The ground floor has an open plan dining and living area, and a well equipped kitchen. The stairs to the first floor open directly into the master bedroom, forming a mezzanine and through room via a door leading to the landing, family shower room and single bedroom with a pull-out bed.
The immediate surrounding areas are perfect for those who want to enjoy the outdoors; with great cycle routes and walks straight from the front door.
Latterbarrow Nature Reserve, Whitbarrow Scar and dog friendly pubs are nearby. A short drive away are the Victorian market towns of Grange-over-Sands and Kendal. Visit Levens Hall, Sizergh Castle, the seaside spot of Arnside and drive along the coast road to Barrow-in-Furness. Or why not visit the quirky village of Cartmel, for its racecourse and famous sticky toffee pudding and many traditional pubs? Head up the road past Newby Bridge and visit the South Lakes Safari Zoo or follow the road to Bowness along the side of the largest lake in England, Lake Windermere.
The cottage is located just a 10-minute drive from junction 36 of the M6, making it an ideal spot for exploring the Lake District National Park, South Lakes Peninsula, Yorkshire Dales National Park and north Lancashire. Beach 11 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
