Heatherside is an ideal base for walking and cycling with Catbells and other fells accessible from the house. Portinscale is one mile by road from the vibrant tourist town of Keswick, or a pleasant walk across fields will take approximately 20 minutes. Shop 1 mile,pub 100 yards and restaurant 400 yards.
