This large terraced property built from local Lakeland stone is in the heart of Keswick and only a few minutes’ walk from the vibrant town centre. Sleeping up to four guests and spread over three floors, you’ll love the amount of natural daylight that this property offers. Set back from the main road in a quiet group of cottages yet only 100 yards from the River Greta, Whiskey Cottage offers the perfect retreat for people who love to relax after a busy day of adventure. Feel free to bring your dog along and there’s plenty of space to exercise too in nearby Fitz Park.

Whilst the ground floor features an open plan living room and dining room with plenty of easy-seating, flexible lighting options and a well-equipped modern kitchen. The owners have provided plenty of books and walking guides to allow you to make the most of your stay. It even comes with a small gated outside area with garden furniture, perfect if you want to get some fresh air and soak up the sunshine. Free private parking space included for a small car.
For outdoor adventure including cycling, walking and climbing you are surrounded by some amazing scenery and routes around Latrigg, Catbells, nearby you’ll find Skiddaw, Blencathra and Helvellyn to name a few. Situated in the heart of Keswick you can easily walk into the town centre and leave the car behind. From the front door you are just 5 minutes’ walk into the main market square. Keswick is vibrant with a great outdoor market and plenty of places to eat and drink.
Its bustling centre has an abundance of quality restaurants, pubs serving local cask ales, independent shops and the obligatory outdoor and fashion brands. Plenty of deli’s, bakeries, coffee shops and local craft stalls. Famous for its narrow streets and courtyards this traditional market town is one not to be missed. If you like culture check out the Theatre By The Lake, ½ mile, with award winning arts and drama on the banks of Derwentwater, ¾ miles, where you can hire a rowing boat or even take a dip. For family fun why not try Puzzling Place, a mind boggling attraction based on optical illusions or the Derwent Pencil Museum, home to the largest pencil in the world, both ½ miles. Or for a really wild day out, try The Lake District Wildlife Park at Bassenthwaite, 8½ miles, or The Lakes Distillery offering daily tasting and tours, 8 miles.
