The location is perfect for those seeking peace and quiet but with easy access to the Lake District, Eden Valley, Carlisle and Scottish Borders. There are good pubs serving bar meals nearby, the nearest of which is in Skelton, one mile. The owner’s are Blue Badge Guides (Official Cumbrian Tourist Board Guides) who possess a wealth of local information. It may be possible to hire their services by prior arrangement.
