A traditional 18th-century Cumbrian cottage with beautiful panoramic views, located in the small picturesque village of Helton. A perfect place to get away from it all, with tranquil surroundings in this little known area of the Lake District. Enjoy the views and watch out for the red squirrels and a vast variety of bird life which are attracted to the bird feeder. There are wonderful walks right from the cottage. Close by are Ullswater and Haweswater, and excellent high level walking. Other nearby attractions and activities include the Lowther Castle and Gardens, Askham Hall Gardens and café, Dalemain historic house, Lakeland Bird of Prey Centre, Ullswater steamers, Hallin Fell, Aira Force waterfall, horse riding, mountain biking, climbing, fishing, sailing, windsurfing and canoeing. There are two delightful pubs and a village shop, a mile away, in the neighbouring village of Askham.  The attractive market town of Penrith is just 10 minutes drive away. Enjoy the views and watch out for the red squirrels!.
