Located on Church House Farm, a working farm in the 19th century that now provides a peaceful location for your rural getaway. Church House Barn is a unique barn conversion that offers a holiday home from home experience, and has been designed to make the most of the great views of the Solway Coast. Redesigned to be a comfortable base to explore the nearby Lake District National Park and Solway shores, it’s an ideal place to relax and unwind. Your front door opens into an entrance hall, leading to the bedrooms and family bathroom. There is a double bedroom with en-suite shower room on the upper floor, a twin bedroom on the lower floor, and a family bathroom on the ground floor. The bedrooms are both calm and decorated in muted colours. The double bedroom haspatio doors leading to a shared courtyard and is well suited for relaxing.
There is comfortable seating, a perfectly positioned TV and an en-suite shower room with a powerful shower. The second bedroom is smaller but perfectly formed with two single beds and a merry seaside feel to it, giving a reminder of the coast just a short distance away.
Upstairs, you’ll find a spacious open plan living area with a modern kitchen, dining area and comfy sofas in a living area that leads out onto a Juliet balcony. It offers views across the fields to the coast and beyond to Dumfries and Galloway, as well as views of the paddocks and trees with the fields. Take your time over breakfast and supper, sink into the sofas with a good book or enjoy the view. To keepeveryone amused, there are hundreds of options available on the Smart TV, there are shelves of books (including plenty of Lake District guides), board games and there’s a DVD player and a wide selection of DVDs to borrow too.
The modern kitchen is what you’d expect with this cottage - stylish and fully equipped for a short break with plenty of storage space. If you need to use a washing machine and dryer during your holiday, just ask, as the owners have a spare one next door.
