Number 1 Admiralty Cottages comfortably accommodates up to four guests and is one of Gosport’s original Coastguard Cottages dating from 1860. Today this lovely holiday home has been modernised and refurbished to a high standard by the owners who live next door.
The location is ideally situated for Stokes Bay Golf Club, a 9-hole links course with 18 tees to test all abilities, and unrivalled panoramic views of The Solent, the Isle of Wight and Stokes Bay itself. The pebble beach overlooks The Solent and there is always something to see ranging from dinghies and yachts to ocean liners, tankers and container ships - and even the occasional massive aircraft carrier.

Number 1 Admiralty Cottages really is a home from home. It provides easy access to the New Forest and events around the Hampshire and Sussex areas, including Goodwood motor sports and horse racing events.
The town of Gosport is a short distance away and a quick ferry journey takes you across the harbour to the metropolitan city of Portsmouth, where you will find Gunwharf Quays, the south coasts leading designer shopping outlet boasting over 90 stores and over 30 restaurants, bars and coffee shops as well as a 14 screen cinema, bowling and casino. Why not take a trip to the top of the iconic Spinnaker Tower, a 170-metre landmark observation tower where you can raise a glass and enjoy a panoramic view of the sunset over Portsmouth Harbour.

The historic dockyard is well worth a visit where you can dive into Britain’s rich Naval history allowing you to step on board historic world-class warships, there are also fascinating museums and exhibitions to explore like the Mary Rose. If you fancy exploring a little further afield there are regular trains from Portsmouth harbour into London and you could also easily catch a ferry or take the high speed catamaran or hovercraft across to the Isle of Wight for a day trip too.
