Inside, the cottage boasts a range of social spaces to spend your time together; head into the large cosy living room, sure to be the social hub of your holiday, where you can find a selection of snug seating, a large inglenook fireplace with an electric stove and a flat screen Smart TV with a DVD player. Gather together in the dining room to enjoy a family meal prepared in the amply equipped kitchen and toast to your wonderful retreat. The first is located on the ground floor with a super kingsize zip and link bed which can be split into 3ft single beds on request. There is a bathroom located off the hallway on the ground floor which is great for those guests who cannot do stairs. Heading up to the first floor, you will find the other four bedrooms, two doubles, one of which has an en-suite shower room, one kingsize and one with twin beds which can be zipped together to make a super kingsize on request. Three of these bedrooms share the use of the beautiful spacious family bathroom which is fitted with a roll-top bath and walk-in shower so guests can choose between a rejuvenating rinse or an indulgent soak.
The Old Farmhouse is the perfect base for exploring the region, from the Blackdown Hills and woodlands to the cliffs and beaches of the Jurassic Coast. Walkers, hikers, horse riders, cyclists or wild swimmers are all catered for in this beautiful part of the country. The wealth of activities to enjoy includes a host of National Trust properties including Forde Abbey, Barrington Court and Montecute House. For younger visitors, spot wild creatures at the nearby Axe Valley Wildlife Park, have a fun-filled day out at Wildwood Escot, visit the Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth or try a trek like no other, walking with friendly llamas and alpacas through the picturesque countryside at nearby Shute.
