Platform 10 is a tastefully presented, modern, three bedroom, double-fronted house, situated in a wonderful location set back from the historic Bideford Railway Station platform, with its static engine and carriage displays. The station and old railway line form part of the famous North Devon Tarka Trail, which is a popular foot and cycle path that meanders through the Torridge Valley.
Downstairs accommodation comprises of an entrance hall with a coat cupboard and a cloakroom. The bright and airy, dual aspect living room has French doors leading out to the rear garden and the space is comfortably furnished with a four-seater sofa, armchair, 43" TV with integrated DVD, a bookcase and a coffee table. The spacious kitchen/dining room is extremely well equipped with ample worktop space and built-in appliances.
The first floor has three bedrooms, and the two front facing ones have glimpses of the river, with Bideford town beyond. The master has a super kingsize bed and its own en-suite shower room and the second bedroom has a king bed. The third bedroom has a single bed. The family bathroom comprises of a tasteful, white three piece suite with a shower over the bath. At the rear is a secluded enclosed garden with a paved terrace, stone chippings, a table with two chairs and a two-seat bench.
Platform 10 in Bideford sits astride the South West Coast Path and offers access to the Tarka Trail, a long-distance track and cycle way which follows the old railway line alongside the river.
Boats leave from Bideford on day trips to Lundy island. There is much to see in the area with attractions to suit all, including The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, the wonderful coastal village of Clovelly and RHS Rosemoor Gardens at Torrington, plus its famous glass factory.
The sandy surfing beaches of Westward Ho!, Saunton Sands, Woolacombe and Croyde are all an easy drive. Discover Instow for sailing, or across the estuary children can enjoy crabbing at historic Appledore. The property is also only a few minutes drive from the A39, enabling you to explore further afield across North Devon and North Cornwall.
