Nestled within a peaceful location just a few minutes’ walk from the estuary, Tucked Away Cottage is a charming 3 bedroom, mid-terrace house and the perfect choice for a family holiday or a relaxing escape at any time of year. It is situated within the delightful North Devon village of Appledore, with its cobbled streets and bustling quayside. This traditional cottage enjoys estuary views from the master bedroom and is just a short walk from a vast array of popular village pubs, restaurants, cafés, galleries and shops.
The sunny rear garden, accessed by steps at the side of the cottage, is the perfect place to soak up the sun or enjoy an evening barbecue while you plan your next day exploring this delightful location.
You can take the ferry to Instow, sitting at the opposite side of the estuary with its sandy beach, bars and restaurants. The wide, sandy beach of Northam Burrows and Westward Ho!, popular with surfers, is just a mile and a half away. Bideford, Exmoor, Clovelly and Hartland Quay are close by and the area is a must for water sports, sailing enthusiasts and fishermen, whilst walkers and cyclists will enjoy the famous Tarka Trail which passes close by.
Young and old will enjoy crabbing off the quay and golf and riding are available locally. For family fun, The Big Sheep and Milky Way Adventure parks are close by and for an adrenalin fuelled day why not try The Ultimate Adventure Centre, or the North Devon Wakepark for water sports fun. All of this along with the annual Appledore Regatta and the internationally acclaimed book festival ensures that there really is something for everyone. Beach 1½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
