Flat F1 is great for the young and old, as there are coastal paths only 5 minutes away and Dawlish golf course is close by. The famous black swans are great to see in the adjacent town of Dawlish.
The Dawlish Warren railway station, which has links to Cornwall, Torbay, Newton Abbott and Exeter, is a 5-minute walk away. Dawlish Warren National Nature Reserve is an area of grassland, sand dunes and mudflats, and centres on a 1½ mile long sand pit/beach across the mouth of the Exe Estuary. As part of the Exe Estuary, it is one of the most important places for wildfowl and wading birds in the whole of the south west. Thousands of birds come to feed on migration, or to spend the winter here.
The dunes and grassland have a host of special plants. Over 600 different types of flowering plants have been recorded on the Warren. This varied reserve has many different habitats including salt marsh, fresh water ponds, wet meadows and woodland. There are so many things to see and do right on your doorstep, including a small amusement park, cafés, bars and shops. Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
