Waves - Great Cliff is a wonderful two-bedroom apartment located on the third floor of the Great Cliff building which is situated on the Marine Parade in Dawlish and it’s just a one-minute level walk from the town centre along the sea front. Separated only from the beach and sea by Brunel’s historic Great Western Railway, which runs along the coastline, a secluded beach lies just across the railway bridge to the east. To the west are wide, sweeping views across the bay to Exmouth. Trains pass outside the apartment every few minutes, adding to the excitement of staying on the seafront in Dawlish.
This lovely holiday home showcases beautiful sea views from the open plan kitchen, dining and living area, has two spacious bedrooms, a private parking space and the added convenience of an elevator. The living area is spacious and well furnished with plenty of seating, an electric fireplace and a TV with freeview and a DVD player. The dining table provides a great space to enjoy a family meal and the kitchen is well equipped with all the key appliances including an under-the-counter fridge/ freezer, electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, built-in microwave and a washer/ dryer.
The apartment comes with two well-presented bedrooms, one of which has a king-size bed and the other has a zip and link super king-size bed which can be split into 3ft twins if requested. The family bathroom is fitted with a shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin.
Nearby there is much to occupy yourselves along the English Riviera coastline including Paignton Zoo, both the Dartmouth and South Devon Steam Railways, and the fishing harbour of Brixham.
Day trips to the beaches in the South Hams such as Blackpool Sands and Goodrington Beach also offer a great alternative for a fun day-out and they are within an hour’s drive. Venture to Exeter with its castle and cathedral, Exmouth the gateway to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and Torquay which offers a selection of continental-style cafés and restaurants.
Exeter, Paignton, and Plymouth are all accessible from Dawlish’s main line station. For the ramblers, there are plenty of opportunities for walking as Haldon Forest and Dartmoor National Park are within an easy drive, plus the South West Coastal Path which takes you into Teignmouth is located just a few seconds walk across the footbridge from the apartment.
Alternatively walk the opposite direction along the sea wall to Dawlish Warren which has a sandy beach, attractions, and various local facilities. Teignmouth is a vibrant coastal town with a beautiful long promenade, pier, and beach, where you can sit and watch the world go by. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs to refuel, and the Arts Quarter is a fantastic spot to appreciate the local art, exhibitions, and workshops. With such a central location, this is the perfect apartment for anyone who wants a beach holiday in a picturesque setting with breath-taking views.
