Budleigh Salterton has many independent shops, lovely tea rooms and wonderful pubs. Being so close to the Jurassic Coast, this is the ideal base for walking; the coastal path takes you to Lyme Bay, Branscombe, Beer, Sidmouth and Seaton, and Exeter, with its cathedral, is 11 miles away. There is so much to do, whether you are taking a family holiday or a short break away. Take a trip to Dartmoor with its ponies, tors and pubs tucked away in the countryside.

Take a drive to Exmouth; the River Exe is a favourite haunt for bird watchers, or take a boat across to Starcross. There are also many golf courses nearby and NT properties all worth visiting.
