Nestled in the heart of the owner’s 140-acre beef and sheep farm, with a private fishing lake and in a lovely quiet location, it is the ideal spot from which to explore the treasures of both counties.
The Round House (ref UKC889) is a delightful, spacious, single-storey detached barn conversion sleeping six, whilst Higher Hopworthy Cottage (ref UK11436) is arranged over two floors and is the perfect couples or small family retreat. Both properties have enclosed gardens with their own private hot tubs. The perfect spot to unwind after a day out exploring this stunning location.
These lovely holiday properties are within easy reach of the sandy beaches on the north coast, including the excellent surfing beach of Widemouth Bay and the award-winning seaside town of Bude with its beaches and sea pool, shops, pubs and restaurants, only 8 miles away. The historic market town of Holsworthy is just 3 miles away and has a good selection of local shops, a supermarket, town amenities, golf club, indoor swimming pool and leisure centre, cafés and pubs. The village of Pyworthy, with its popular village inn with restaurant, is just ¾ mile away.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the 140 acres of farmland with a large pond and free fishing. The whole family can explore the countryside surrounding Higher Hopworthy, with abundance of wildlife and wildflowers.
For a family fun day out, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks are not to be missed. Pretty fishing villages and spectacular beaches and coves are dotted all along this coastline, from Padstow, Tintagel, Crackington Haven and Bude in Cornwall, to Westward Ho!, Clovelly and Instow in Devon. Golf, horse riding, fishing, surfing, mountain boarding, coastal and country walking, cycle trails, karting and high ropes are available locally, and the wild beauty of Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin moors are all within easy driving distance, as is the famous Eden Project. With so much to discover in this lovely part of North Devon, this is the perfect holiday destination. Beach 8 miles. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.
