New Barn Reservoir is set amongst the lush Devon countryside and less than a mile to the beach. This converted, detached water reservoir is charming and unique with many interesting features. It has domed high ceilings, archways and big windows, offering amazing views across the countryside. Situated at the top of Ringmore, in a quiet location set away from the village of Shaldon, where your nearest neighbours are the alpacas. The property has been tastefully converted and offers comfortable bedrooms and a spacious kitchen/dining area. There are two outside seating areas, ideal for watching amazing sunsets and enjoying al fresco dining.
This is the perfect spot for families and friends to get together.
Shaldon is a picturesque fishing village nestled at the mouth of the River Teign. The Ness headland watches over the mouth of the estuary, offering some of the most stunning views in the West Country. You’ll be delighted by the estuary, river beach, and the famous Shaldon ferry which plies the river to Teignmouth. The nearby zoo is also well worth a visit.
Torquay is close by where you can take a stroll along the harbour, or get a boat to Brixham and visit the many cafés and restaurants Brixham has to offer.
There are many National Trust properties close by as well. You’re not far from Exeter, with its amazing cathedral, canal and many independent shops. Go and explore Dartmoor with its tors and ponies, and lovely villages where you can stop to have a Devon cream tea. Devon has so many places to visit, that one visit is never enough. Beach 1½ miles. Shop ¼ mile, pub and restaurant 700 yard
