The golden sands of Bude and Widemouth Bay are 8 miles away, with excellent surfing, pretty coves and dramatic coastal walks, along with town amenities and a great selection of bars and restaurants. Golf, horse riding, surfing, bowling, an indoor ‘Splash’ pool, and mountain boarding are all on offer here, and the internationally acclaimed annual jazz festival is not to be missed.
Tamar Lakes are 8 miles away and have a water sports centre with a hire service during the summer for canoeing, sailing and wind surfing along with lovely lakeside walks and coarse fishing. Pretty fishing villages and spectacular beaches and coves are dotted all along this coastline, from Padstow, Tintagel, Crackington Haven and Bude in Cornwall to Westward Ho! Clovelly and Instow in Devon, and for a great day out the famous Eden Project is within easy reach. Beach 8 miles. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
