Searock Six is a lovely second floor apartment just 180 yards from the nearest beach and theatre in this Victorian seaside town. The living room, which has a sofa bed and Freeview TV, is open plan with the kitchen/dining room. There is also a double bedroom and an adjacent shower room. Parking is 350 yards away in the public car park, which offers daily and weekly tickets. The apartment is perfect for a couple with two children who are looking to explore the local and wider areas and need a comfortable and contemporary base.
Ilfracombe itself has beaches, a lovely harbour and a port dating back to at least the 12th century. It offers quality ice cream, fish & chip shops and various craft shops and art galleries to enjoy, plus Damien Hirst’s Verity statue which is a ‘must see’.
The surrounding area has many attractionswaiting to be discovered, including Cairn Woodland Nature Reserve, Hillsborough and Rapperee Cove, The Torrs, Watermouth Bay and the South West Coast Path.

There is also the lovely Fuchsia Valley and, for the family, Watermouth Castle and Theme Park. Why not take a trip to Lundy Island or enjoy coastal cruises, fishing, sea-life safaris and diving which are all available locally? Or take a trip on the Ilfracombe Princess and see seals, porpoises and sea birds nesting on the cliffs. Try your hand at sea fishing on Blue Fin or take an exhilarating tour of the amazing coastline on the Ilfracombe Sea Safari or on the Hampshire Rose, a former RNLI Lifeboat.
Ilfracombe is also perfectly situated to the enjoy the countless other North Devon attractions such as the popular Tarka Trail, which provides the unique opportunity to follow a disused railway lineallowing you to enjoy some of Devon’s finest countryside and scenery stretching from Barnstaple through to Bideford and beyond.

Exmoor National Park is just 11 miles away and Lynton & Lynmouth 19 miles to the east with its incredible sea views, rugged cliffs and amazing funicular cliff railway. Opened in 1890, it is the highest and steepest totally water powered railway in the world!
There are also several fabulous beaches such as Saunton Sands, Woolacombe, Croyde and Westward Ho!, all of which are famous for their surfing qualities, vast stretches of sand and also great dunes. Once you have enjoyed a day out and if you don’t fancy cooking, then there are several good quality and popular restaurants to try out, many of which are regularly visited by locals from all over North Devon for their tasty local and ethnic fayre.
