Mousehole is a historic fishing village on the West Cornwall coast, often described as one of the most picturesque villages in the country.
With origins dating back to the 13th century, it retains its timeless charm through narrow cobbled streets, traditional cottages, and a beautifully sheltered harbour. As you wander through the village, you’ll discover inviting bistros, independent art galleries, and shops offering artisan foods and locally crafted goods. At low tide, a small sandy beach appears just off the harbour, perfect for paddling or simply relaxing in the sun.
Local transport is the easiest way to explore the surrounding area.Regular buses run to Newlyn and Penzance, where you can connect to rail services—especially useful when visiting St Ives, where parking can be challenging.
Nature lovers and walkers will find plenty to enjoy, with spectacular coastal paths offering unforgettable views and opportunities to spot wildlife. For those seeking a bit more excitement, coasteering is a popular activity along the rugged shoreline.
