Porthtowan has a children’s play area, sand dunes, beach bar, surf school and a local pub. Truro, with its theatre, shopping and cinema, and St Ives are easily reached. Porthreath, a short drive away, is the start of the Coast to Coast Cycle Path. Bike hire, horse riding, golf, surfing and kayaking are all available locally.
