These spacious and well-presented holiday homes (refs 30639 and 30640), set within the owners’ smallholding, with a large garden and patio, are perfectly placed to enjoy the dramatic North Cornwall coast, as they face unspoilt National Trust land overlooking the coast. The stunning beach of Chapel Porth is close by and has a café for breakfast by the beach. Porthtowan with its children’s play area, sand dunes, beach bar, surf school and local pub has all the ingredients for a great holiday.
The beach is backed by dramatic cliffs with stunning views from the Cornish Coastal Path that hugs the top of the cliffs and drops into the village walk to St Agnes in the east and Portreath to the west to enjoy the views out to sea. Tehiddy Country Park is close by and a must for nature lovers – a large wood with a network of foot paths and cycle trails. Another great tourist attraction is the Cornish Treasure Park, which celebrates the areas rich gold mining heritage. St Ives, home to the outstanding Tate Gallery, is close by and an essential destination, with its award-winning restaurants and golden beaches.
Truro with its theatre, shopping, cinema and cathedral is easily reached and both offer a great taste of Cornwall. Porthtreath, a short drive away is the start of the Coast to Coast cycle path and bike hire is available locally.
