The South West Coastal Path also runs through the town, a must for keen cyclists and walkers, plus there is swimming, surfing, canoeing and fishing all close by.

The Royal North Devon Golf Course is also close by and the Devon Surf School is just up the beach. Pack a picnic, grab your fishing net and head out onto the beach which stretches on for 2 miles. With its combination of sand and rock pools, you will be entertained for hours. Stroll across the green and there are restaurants, shops, amusements, crazy golf and of course, freshly made doughnuts all to be enjoyed. When you’ve had enough, jump in the car and discover the picturesque Hartland Heritage Coast, The Big Sheep amusement park or Northam Burrows Country Park.
