This is a wonderful area with many attractions just a short distance away. Bridlington has a wonderful promenade as well as a historic harbour, with two glorious golden beaches. This is the lobster capital of Europe, landing more freshly caught lobster here than anywhere else. It’s a great destination for enjoying some of the array of seafood, including the ever-popular fish and chips. The Spa hosts many shows and concerts all year round, from the harbour there are several boat trips to enjoy including bird spotting tours. Nearby is the impressive Georgian stately home of Sewerby Hall with beautiful gardens. There are golf courses at Sewerby for pitch and putt, or a proper round if you fancy playing golf. For avid nature lovers, walkers, and those who love the outdoors, there’s Danes Dyke, South Landing, Flamborough Head and lighthouse, and Bempton Cliff RSPB Nature Reserve not far away where you can spot gannets and even colourful puffins.

A little further inland you have the Yorkshire Wolds and Yorkshire Moors.
Locally, there are several other houses of historic interest including Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall. Scarborough is not far away where you can watch the motorbike racing at Oliver Mount or go to Stephen Joseph Theatre in the Round. Both Hull and York are an easy drive with many galleries and museums as well as horse racing and shopping. For children there is a wide choice of attractions in Bridlington including an animal park, arcades along the seafront and leisure centre with clip and climb. You also have the water park and sea life centre in Scarborough. For an extra special day out you have Flamingoland theme park and zoo less than an hour away.
