Hill Rise can be found on a quiet residential street just a 10-minute walk from the town centre of Pocklington, on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds and midway between the beautiful cities of Beverley and York. This cosy bungalow offers comfortable accommodation for three, looking for a peaceful holiday home from which to explore this beautiful part of Yorkshire. Inside the property, across the hall is a large living/dining room with a large picture window providing views of the front garden. A Smart TV sits opposite the deep-filled sofa and the dining table offers plenty of seating for three. An electric wood burner offers a warming feel for the cooler winter months. The kitchen is well planned and, for those of you who would like to be able to create a home cooked meal the kitchen, is well-equpped to do so.

There is a small breakfast bar where you can take a seat and watch your travel companion cook. Retire in the evening to one of two garden view bedrooms - a kingsize double room or a single. The accommodation is completed by a shower room.
Stepping outside, Hill Rise offers plenty of space for relaxing in. It offers a front garden, a small enclosed area where dogs can wander freely and a terraced garden with patio area to the rear. With additional seating and charcoal BBQ, you can enjoy al fresco dining during the summer months. Walk up the hill to pick up the footpath that takes you across the golf course and into the open countryside beyond. A 10-minute walk will bring you into the centre of Pocklington, popular with visitors and locals alike. With a host of independent shops, delis, cafés, restaurants and pubs, there is plenty of choice for a hearty breakfast, quick lunch or delicious evening meal.

The surrounding countryside offers miles of walking and cycling opportunities including the Wolds Way. Burnby Hall is home to the national collection of water lillies, and Castle Howard, Sledmere House and Gardens and Burton Agnes are close by. An easy drive brings you to the historic City of York with its famous Minster, National Railway Museum and Jorvik Viking Centre. Spend a day exploring the cobbled streets, take a relaxing river trip or enjoy a day at York Races. A little further afield are the seaside towns of Hornsea and Bridlington. Hill Rise is the perfect base to return to after a long day exploring.
