This spacious lodge is tastefully furnished throughout, with careful attention to detail to ensure you have a memorable stay. You are tucked away from the road with a sweeping gravelled driveway, with your own private patio area where you can sit out in the sunshine, as well as take a dip in your hot tub. From here you have wonderful views over the open field before you, with the hills beyond, at night this is a fabulous spot for star gazing.
Stepping inside, you are greeted by a beautiful, spacious living area. Sofas gather around the electric fire and the TV where you can relax in comfort after a busy day of exploration. The dining table is a great size for meals together as well as enjoying a games night. The kitchen is simply beautiful, and a joy to cook in, you have all the equipment you could wish for to whip up culinary delights. In this welcoming social space, you have glass sliding doors, as well as large windows opening out to rural views to enjoy. Both bedrooms are a generous size, with walk-in wardrobes where you can store all of your belongings; this lodge is exceptionally spacious. In the master double bedroom, you have your own en-suite shower as well as a TV.
The second bedroom has twin beds and is perfect for adults, as well as children. After a day of exploring, you can refresh in the family bathroom, with a relaxing soak in the bath or a revitalising shower. This lodge also benefits from a utility cupboard with a washing machine, as well as a coat and boot cupboard, ideal for walking boots and wellies, both located off the entrance hallway.
Located in the pretty village of Great Boughton, you have three traditional pubs, all within easy walking distance, ideal for treating yourself to a hearty meal after a day of exploring. This is an ideal destination for those who love the great outdoors with a host of breath-taking walks on your doorstep. The nearby Wainstones are a dramatic rock outcrop of weathered sandstone, which is a prominent feature in the North York Moors. Once you ascend the peak, you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the surrounding heather moorland and patchwork of fields below the dramatic cliffs, which drop down from Hasty Bank. The heather moorland is a spectacular open landscape - up here you experience a real sense of freedom and exploration that is sure to inspire.
You can see the rolling hills from your hot tub, this is part of the Cleveland Way, which is a popular walking trail leading across the moors, to the coastline and along the clifftops. You are less than a 30-minute drive away from the coast, where you have the surfers paradise of Saltburn, with Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby further down the coast, all wonderful destinations for a day out. You also have the quaint market town of Helmsley to discover, with an abbey, castle and walled gardens to explore, as well as many tea rooms, independent shops and restaurants to sample. Or visit the boyhood home of Captain Cook, Great Ayton, which is a scenic village with a stream winding its way between the buildings; here you have a Captain Cook Museum. Another popular walk nearby is Roseberry Topping, rewarding those who reach the peak incredible panoramas. Also, for those who are adventurous, you have Tees Barage only 20 minutes away, with a range of water sports to enjoy; from white water rafting to kayaking. Beach 16 miles.
