Extra Amenities

Rose Cottage (ref UK11824) and Wisteria Cottage (ref UK11933) are both 17th century, traditional stone cottages, full of character features, which have been sympathetically renovated to provide guests with a warm and inviting stay. Adjacent to the owner’s home, you will be right in the midst of a working beef farm with a farm shop and tearoom. With beautiful, private sun-soaked gardens to relax in these, cottages really are something special.
The owners offer horse riding to visitors and can accompany you on local bridleways around the Shibden Valley. Guests are welcome to bring along their horses, who can enjoy a holiday in a stable or field.

Halifax can be easily reached and there you will find stunning architecture such as the unique Piece Hall and the Halifax Minster, together with independent and high street shops, markets and many fabulous places to eat and drink. The fabulously diverse bohemian town of Hebden Bridge is just a short drive away, as is Haworth with the Keighley and Worth Valley Steam Railway. In the other direction, you will come across the most recognized landscape of Holmfirth, which is the home of the TV series ’Last of the Summer Wine’, and the wonderful Peak District National Park.

The cottages are ideally located for outdoor enthusiasts with a variety of activities available in the surrounding areas, as well as a range of cycle paths to suit all ages and abilities. Alternatively, why not explore on foot following one of the many walks available directly from the doorstep? The owners also offer horse riding for those amongst you who fancy a trot around this wonderful area. Shop 1 mile, restaurant 1½ miles and pub 528 yards.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 16 guests
