The Cottage is located opposite the owner’s house, within the picturesque hamlet of Upper Midhope in the Peak Park, a short 15-minute walk from the property is a pub serving home-made meals and a café. Holmsfirth is only a 15-minute drive, where the Last of the Summer Wine was filmed. Explore Lansglett Reservoir and Don Valley or if you fancy some bird spotting, there is much to see.
With also many walking routes and trails to follow. Cycling is very popular in this area, so much so the area was put on the Tour de France route.
Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a short drive from the property which offers both open-air and indoor galleries showing off the work of British artists. The local town of Stocksbridge offers many eateries, shops and cafés or you can head into the vibrant city of Sheffield.
