Quietly situated looking down the village green, in the charming village of Sinnington, these cosy stone-built, semi-detached cottages provide a perfect base for a relaxing holiday. The ground floor interconnecting door gives the opportunity to book the cottages separately or together for larger families. Picturesque and quintessentially English, the village has a pretty stream running through it, a micro bakery and a renowned traditional inn. From the doorstep there are numerous walking and cycling trails leading up into the North York Moors.
A well-stocked farm shop selling local produce can be found in Beadlam, where visitors can enjoy home cooking in the granary tearoom, and nearby Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside are home to numerous interesting shops, pubs and restaurants. Visit Pickering, a bustling market town with a medieval castle and the famous North York Moors steam train, explore the abbey ruins at Rievaulx and the stately homes at Nunnington and Castle Howard.
The Go Ape Adventure Centre in Dalby Forest and Flamingo Land are popular with families, and there are miles of sandy beaches at the seaside resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey, all within an hour’s drive. Shop 3 miles, pub/restaurant 350 yards.
