Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for open fire included. Travel cot and highchair available on request. External utility room with freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Enclosed rear garden with patio, garden furniture and barbecue. Front garden with bench. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. This former cart store has been converted into a quaint Dale’s stone cottage set just off the village green in Bellerby. With its streams and mill race running through Bellerby, it’s a picturesque setting at the edge of Wensleydale. Entering the front door into the living/dining room with exposed stonework, flagstone flooring, beams and a large inglenook fireplace, the cottage offers an abundance of character and charm. The two settees set around the open fire offer a cosy feel while watching the Smart TV in Holly Cottage.
A dining table and chairs are positioned to the rear of the room. Going through to the kitchen, all the appliances, crockery, and utensils you need are available to rustle up some cosy meals while staying at Holly Cottage. The staircase from the living room is characterful with uneven treads and a rope bannister to guide you up towards the two bedrooms. Both rooms offer comfortable beds with attractive linen and hand and bath towels.

The compact shower room has a heated towel rail, shower cubicle and toilet completes the accommodation available.
To the rear of the property there is an enclosed picket fenced garden which includes a lawn area and flower beds along with a stone patio with a table, chairs, and a bench to enjoy sitting at while taking in a morning coffee or firing up the barbecue for an alfresco supper. The front garden is not secured but guests can happily sit there on the bench near the shared front driveway which offers parking for 1 car.
The adjacent property Cherry Tree Cottage is allocated parking for 2 cars on the driveway. Bellerby is situated on the edge of The Yorkshire Dales National Park with a local pub serving a selection of real ales but currently no food and although there is no shop in the village the lovely market town of Leyburn is just 1 mile away where an array of individual shops, pubs, cafés, and restaurants are available.

If you are looking to get out and stretch your legs, whether walking or cycling, there are abundant established public footpaths, bridleways, and cycle routes available in the local vicinity with spectacular scenery, open countryside, and pretty Yorkshire villages to explore.
Within easy driving distance there is an array of places to visit whether it’s the historic Castle Bolton, Richmond Castle, Jervaulx Abbey or the stunning Aysgarth Falls, there is something to suit everyone’s taste. The children will love Forbidden Corner with its quirky folly garden to explore or for the more adventurous why not visit the theme park, Lightwater Valley.
