My wife and I have just spent last week at Box Cottage with friends. We had a brilliant week the weather was amazing the cottage was wonderful much bigger than the photos depicted. The kitchen was well equipment and the bedrooms a good size. The garden was a sunspot with a good selection of garden furniture ideal for outside breakfast and evening drinks. The welcome Prosecco was a great gesture. The town of Pickering is a short walk away with a broad selection of shops mostly independents and the Beck Isle Museum is well worth a visit. The Rose Inn is an excellent pub with live music on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. The Namaste Bengal restaurant is good for a takeaway or eat in. The Fox and Rabbit Pub which is a 10-minute drive away on the Whitby Road is excellent for food. It is an ideal central point for visiting North Yorkshire attractions.

Beautiful cottage well presented and ideally located for all amenities. Fully equipped, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated throughout. One of the nicest if not the best cottage?s we have stayed in. The welcoming bottle of Prosecco on a hot sunny afternoon shared with friends was a lovely touch.

A lovely cottage in an ideal spot for local amenities all within a 10 minute walk.I did speak to the owner regarding the pigeons in behind the solar panels they were noisy from 5.30 every morning and left dropping all over the outside furniture she was telling me they have tried all sorts to stop them getting in behind the solar panel and was going to address this ,maybe even involve the council other than this was a lovely place to stay

Spent the weekend here for my 65th birthday with friends, lovely cottage, very comfortable and clean. We'll equipped kitchen every thing you need. Lovely enclosed garden polly the dog loved it, we were able to sit outside as the sun was shining and enjoy the prosecco the owner had left, lovely little touch. Would recommend both the white Swan and black Swan had lovely meals in both. We were provided with excellent directions and information by the owner, would highly recommend this cottage.

We had a lovely stay in the cottage over New Year. It was so clean, comfortable and very cosy especially with the Christmas decorations. Very handy to walk into Pickering, only 10 mins, where there's plenty of shops, cafes and pubs to choose from. A lovely enclosed back garden which unfortunately we didn't get to use due to the time of year. The owner was very nice and the bottle of prosecco very much appreciated. We would definitely like to return.

Box tree cottage is a really lovely home from home. It had everything we needed, is really comfy and cosy. The house is in a great place, set back from the road with private parking. Instructions were very clear (directions, key collection, what to do when leaving etc). Thank you so much!
