With wonderful sea views, this semi-detached bungalow, next to the owners’ home, has been renovated to a very good standard. Located in picturesque Ravenscar, this Jurassic Coast village is situated on a dramatic headland with stunning views over the countryside and the coast. There is a small, enclosed courtyard to the side of the property that catches the sun most of the day. This is the perfect location for a romantic getaway enjoying a nice glass of wine with stunning sea views.
Centrally located in the North York Moors National Park, voted Countryfile’s ’National Park of the Year’ in 2019, this lovely cottage is ideal for exploring the coast and moors as well as the history of this beautiful area, from the stunning moorland and cliff tops, with views over quaint villages and delightful places of interest.
The Cleveland Way trail passes the doorstep; its 109 miles of pathway passes through the North York Moors National Park and down into Filey. Either follow the coastal path with breath-taking scenery down to Robin Hood’s Bay or follow the Cinder Track which used to be the old railway line from Scarborough to Whitby, offering easy, flat walking. Ravenscar is within the North York Moors National Park, 554 square miles of stunning Yorkshire countryside, from rugged moorland to small villages and open farmland. Nearby is the Coastal Centre in Ravenscar, run by the National Trust.
Don’t forget to visit the idyllic nearby coast! All along this stretch of the coastline, visitors are often welcomed by the sight of a variety of wildlife, including whales, dolphins and porpoises! The traditional seaside resort of Scarborough is 10 miles away with two large sandy beaches, donkey rides and candy floss. There are also plenty of bars, restaurants and both an indoor and outdoor theatre. To the north of Ravenscar is the fishing town of Whitby, popular for the Whitby Jet jewellery and famous for the abbey which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Goth weekends are held in Whitby and attract visitors from overseas. Beach 1 mile, pub, and restaurant 300 yard
