Curly Tail Cottage is ideally situated for exploring the North York Moors National Park, the North Yorkshire Coast and the Yorkshire Wolds. This is a self-contained, well appointed, one bedroom cottage, located on a working farm with uninterrupted views down the valley. The garden is enclosed with a seating area and small lawn and it overlooks the pond where you can sit and watch the wildlife. If you wish to bring your horse along then the owner can provide grazing (by direct arrangement with the owner at cost).
Harwood Dale is one of Yorkshire’s best kept secrets, an unspoilt area of Yorkshire with the most stunning scenery and wildlife. It is not far from the Dalby Forest with fantastic mountain bike trails, even the World Cup Cycle Trail has been held here, so there’s plenty of tracks to suit all abilities. The coast is just a short drive with Scarborough, England’s oldest seaside resort being the closest large resort, just 6 miles away with many shops and restaurants, and a visit to the Sea Life Sanctuary and Peasholm Park are not to be missed.
Whitby 15 miles north, is rich in history and famous for its connections with Captain Cook. Here you can explore Whitby Abbey and the picturesque harbour, and wander around the cobbled streets full of interesting independent shops and cafés. The historic city of York is around an hours’ drive away - a must when visiting this area of the country. Beach 6 miles. Shop and restaurant 3 miles, pub 1½ mile
