View Cottage is set in the older part of the quaint town Settle in an elevated position, with views over the roof tops to the hills beyond. This cottage is ideal for walking direct from the door or for touring the area with both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lakes District National Parks easily accessible. Just a stone throw from the Dales and with the added advantage of being able to walk to the selection of pubs, tea rooms and restaurants that Settle has to offer together with the individual country shops. The Settle to Carlisle railway offers some of the most spectacular scenery and does run the occasional steam train. The bustling market town of Skipton with it’s Norman castle is just 16 miles away where you can take a trip on the canal, explore the castle or browse the market. In the other direction lies Clitheroe – the journey here can take you through the Trough of Bowland, well known for its dramatic scenery. Further afield lies the Lake District National Park with the well known town of Windermere only 38 miles away – ideal for a full day out. Shop, pub and restaurant 400 yards.
Spoilt for choice - mansion house or holiday by the sea? Yorkshire is a fabulous part of UK. There are many cottages that accept dogs in York, North Yorkshire Moors or Thirsk - some have private tennis courts.
