This hand built shepherds hut set amongst green fields in the Yorkshire countryside is the ideal retreat for couples. Enjoy sitting in the garden area with views out toward the Yorkshire Dales. There is a summer house which is perfect for storage and the porch area gives you a cosy spot to sit out and look at the stars.
Inside, the living area is open plan with a foldaway dining table and chairs, kitchenette and wood burner which is ideal for keeping cosy on a chilly evening. To the back of the shepherds hut is a bedroom area which has a double bed and on the other side is the wet room style bathroom with a walk in shower.
Situated in Cononley, near Skipton. Dales View Shepherd Hut is a great base for walking, cycling and exploring the area. Conveniently located close to the Yorkshire Dales, which can be seen from the hut itself, there are numerous walks from your doorstep taking you through the scenic countryside. For cyclists, this is Tour De Yorkshire territory and the summerhouse at the property is perfect for storing your bikes. The forest of Bowland Area Of Natural Beauty is also nearby with lots of woodlands, meadows and rivers to stroll alongside. Bronte country is also easily reached where you can follow in Heathcliff’s footsteps across the moors.
Cononley is a pretty Yorkshire village with a friendly local pub, just a short walk from the hut as well as a train station which links Skipton with Leeds and often has steam trains like the Flying Scotsman run through. The market town of Skipton is just 3 miles away, also known as ‘The Gateway to the Dales’, it’s a lovely town with cobbled streets filled with independent shops, restaurants and bars. With plenty to see and do you can take a boat trip down the canal or explore the Norman Fort at the top of the town.
