Grade II listed building. This attractive Grade II listed, Georgian fisherman’s cottage, nestles in the heart of the old village of Staithes and has fine sea views from the upper floor. Carefully renovated, the holiday accommodation is cosy and welcoming with a wood burner in the living room and retaining many original features including exposed beams, polished wooden floors and chunky pine doors. This popular little village complete with museum, shops and restaurants lies on the spectacular heritage coastline with the Cleveland Way running along the cliff tops. A parking permit is provided for the village car park when visiting. Whitby only 11 miles away is accessed via Sandsend with its stretch of golden beach. Within 13 yards of the front door there is a public area with benches for sitting and also a bench directly behind the house with a fine view of the hillside. Both receive full sun in the morning and the front area is also used as a drying place and a drying frame is provided for this purpose Shop 250 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
