Ideal touring base. Perfect riverside holiday accommodation, set on the water’s edge at Brundall. These delightful detached holiday chalets are comfortably furnished throughout with well-equipped, fitted kitchens. Overlooking the river, their living room doors open onto the sun verandah and own private garden with seating furniture, ideal for relaxing in, soaking up the sun and watching the boats pass by. Although set in a peaceful location, the properties are still linked to the modern world and have Wi-Fi access. There is private quay headed mooring for a motor launch (available for hire by prior arrangement), and this location is perfect for river fishing.
The chalets are located in the village of Brundall, the centre for boat building and boat hire, and which has its own railway station, shop/post office, mini-market, hairdresser, chinese takeaway, fish and chips shop, fine restaurant and local pubs all serving good food; one is just across the river, and one is within a short stroll.
Great Yarmouth is easily accessible by car or train, as are the surrounding seaside towns and villages of Gorleston-on-Sea, Hemsby, Caister-on-Sea, Winterton, California, Newport and Hopton-on-Sea, all offering entertainment for a family holiday. The pretty Broadland villages and countryside. RSPB reserve at Strumpshaw Fen, 3 miles. Norfolk’s finest sandy beaches are 12 miles.
The fine city of Norwich is 8 miles with its excellent shopping, theatre, restaurants, inns, cafés, castle and museum.
For fun-filled family days out there is Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens with a renowned collection of Asian mammals including birds; you will also find reptiles in the pleasantly landscaped gardens. Close by, the village of Strumpsham has a steam museum, and Reedham offers Pettitts Animal Adventure Park.
