West Cottage is one of pair in a tranquil village location, with lovely views from both bedrooms to the striped lighthouse 3 miles away at Happisburgh. The village is ideal for both coastal and country walks or days at the beach, with miles of unspoilt sandy beaches like Sea Palling and Horsey Nature Reserve, home to a colony of grey seals and their pups. Close by is beautiful Hickling Broad; here visitors can follow walking trails, take guided wildlife boat rides or hire a day boat to explore the beauty of the Broads and their wildlife. Just 2 miles inland is East Ruston Vicarage Gardens, with over 32 acres of outstanding gardens. An ideal rural holiday base for bird-watching and fishing, for exploring Norfolk’s historic houses and National Trust parks, or for visiting the fine city of Norwich with its cathedrals, theatre, museums, shops, cosmopolitan cafés and restaurants. Shops 3 miles, pub ¼ mile.
Spoilt for choice - gate lodge or coastal holiday? East of England has National Parks to explore. Couples will find properties that welcome dogs to stay in Ipswich, Great Yarmouth or Sudbury - some have electric car charging points.
