Hall Cottage stands within the magnificent grounds of Oxnead Hall, an elegant Grade II* listed building set in 15 acres of stunning landscaped grounds, which guests are welcome to explore. The hall and gardens are used for weddings and special occasion functions, when the hall gardens will remain closed to guests whilst wedding photos are taken.
Hall Cottage (ref CDDM), stands peacefully detached on the edge of the grounds with amazing views of the lake and neighbouring the beautiful 13th-century church of St Michael. The holiday cottage has been tastefully styled boasting character and offering modern day comforts.
The properties are situated within easy reach of Norwich, the coast and the famous Norfolk Broads. Norfolk’s coastline, with soft sandy beaches, is readily accessible with the traditional seaside resorts of Cromer, 13 miles, and Sheringham, 17 miles, as well as coastal paths for bracing walks, whilst many National Trust properties abound in the area. There is an RSPB bird reserve and salt marsh reserve 20 miles away. Blakeney Quay is 21 miles, with its picturesque quay, Blakeney Point (National Trust), coastal path and boat trips to visit the basking seal colony.
The Royal Sandringham Estate is 40 miles.
The city of Norwich, 9 miles, has what is considered to be one of England’s finest shopping centres, as well as its cathedral, castle museum, market square, art galleries, theatre, cafés and restaurants. Wroxham, capital of the Norfolk Broads, is 8 miles, for daily boat hire, river trips, waterside cafés, restaurants and shops. There are many excellent walking and cycling opportunities available in the area, with miles of riverside and countryside walks available from the doorstep. Beach 13 miles.
