This comfortable holiday home offers a delightful mix of old and new, with oak beams and original features throughout the lower floor, and a cosy wood burner in the living room. The fitted kitchen is equipped to a good standard and comfortable bedrooms offer a welcoming retreat after a day out.
Ivy Cottage is ideally located to wander around the village and is within walking distance of the local village gastro pub. Outside, the garden is a great place to relax and enjoy the wonderful views.
An excellent base for walking or exploring the Peak District National Park.
The village of South Wingfield is close to Crich which is full of character and history, and boasts a number of shops and several pubs. There are good walks to be had around the village, which is home to the famous National Tramway Museum.
Take a trip a little further up the valley and you will be greeted by some of the most beautiful views of the Derbyshire Dales. Matlock, 7¼ miles away, offers a range of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as attractions such as Gulliver’s Kingdom. Why not take a cable car ride to the top of the Heights of Abraham? Here, fabulous views can be enjoyed whilst the cable car takes you to the visitors’ centre at the very top.
The top is a great place for all the family with its show caves, nature trail, water gardens and owl maze to enjoy.
A little further south you will find the start of the High Peak Cycle Trail, while to the north is the market town of Bakewell. Don’t forget to taste a famous Bakewell tart! Chatsworth House and Park and Haddon Hall are within easy reach as is Carsington Water, offering fantastic water sports. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
