Hailey Cottage offers a wonderfully characterful stay in the peaceful Oxfordshire village of Hailey, just 2 miles from the bustling market town of Witney. Arrive through the enclosed rear garden, complete with a covered disused well, patio seating and a small law, where private parking sits just behind. A few steps lead you down to the back door and into the welcoming kitchen diner, the perfect spot for relaxed breakfasts before exploring the Cotswolds. The cosy living room is also on the ground floor and features a charming inglenook fireplace with log burner, exposed stone walls and beams that give the cottage its warm, traditional feel.
Steep cottage-style stairs lead to the first floor where you’ll find a double bedroom, a kingsize bedroom with an en-suite shower room, and a separate family bathroom with a bath and handheld shower attachment.

Another set of steep spiral stairs takes you up to the third double bedroom tucked into the eaves. With abundant character and space for family or friends, Hailey Cottage offers a memorable countryside retreat. The property welcomes one well-behaved dog.
Set within the rural village of Hailey, you’ll enjoy a quiet and quintessentially English setting. Local footpaths weave through scenic countryside, ideal for dog walks or leisurely rambles. The nearby village of Bampton is a must-visit for fans of Downton Abbey, as many of the exterior scenes for the popular series were filmed there—you can wander the streets and recognise the church, library and village green from the show.
Further afield, you’re perfectly placed to explore the dreaming spires of Oxford, the charm of Burford, or the beauty of Minster Lovell’s medieval ruins along the River Windrush.
