Situated just 5 yards from the River Sett and the Sett Valley Trail, in the charming High Peak village of Hayfield, this end-terrace holiday cottage is perfect throughout the summer months with its multi-tiered garden, or the winter months with its cosy wood burner. Home to plentiful pubs, shops, cafés and restaurants, Hayfield itself is overlooked by the Kinder Scout and is most famous for the backdrop from BBC’s drama ‘The Village’. Incredibly popular with walkers and cyclists, the village has a number of public thoroughfares with the beautiful Sett Valley Trail, Kinder Plateau, Pennine Way and Snake Path all easily accessible.
The surrounding area of the Peak District holds many beautiful towns and villages which are easily reached including the small picturesque village of Edale, home to the start/end of the UK’s first long distance walking path - The Pennine Way. Set in the stunning Hope Valley countryside, the rural hill village of Castleton, famous for its caverns, can be reached in half an hour and Bakewell, home to its namesake pudding and the magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth Estate and Haddon Hall, can be reached within 45 minutes’.
Horse riding can also be found nearby, and for children, Hayfield Park is ¼ mile which consists of playground, zip line, skateboard ramps and a mini bike track. The nearest supermarket is 5 miles away and various supermarkets deliver. Village shop/ post office ¼ mile, pub ¼ mile on foot and restaurant ½ mile.
